About Me

My name is R.J. Spreckelsen, and I am the owner of Pet Wants St. Augustine Central.  After spending more than 25 years in business and software testing, I am excited to begin following my passion of helping dogs and cats receive the best nutrition possible and educating pet owners on providing the best for their loved ones.  

I have been lucky enough to call this area home for the past 30 years.  I love spending time with my family; my wife April, my daughter Ashley, and my son Anthony.  I enjoy going to Walt Disney World, the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Jacksonville Icemen.

We have 3 dogs; 2 Pomeranians Cooper and Toby, and a Husky, Blue.  We also have 4 cats, Delco, Luna, Daisy and Delilah.   They love when we bring them home Pet Wants chews and treats after we are away for a long day at the markets.

Pet Wants has redefined the meaning of “fresh” in the pet food industry. To us, fresh means from the manufacturer to your pet’s bowl in weeks, not months. We have raised the bar in animal wellness and nutrition for over a decade. Our proprietary pet food is made using natural and fresh ingredients, including salmon, chicken, lamb and brown rice. There are no added sugars, no corn, and no animal by-products. We never use corn, wheat, soy or dyes.
